Tiko was fantastic in Malmo in our first championship.
I was second starting for the team and I did my dressage on Thursday afternoon. I was pleased with the work Tiko did, but a few mistakes (the flying changes and the first halt) put us in the second half of the results, scoring a 52.
The cross country was quite twisty and technical which is not ideal for Tiko. We set off in a nice rhythm and he kept up with the minute markers until the second half of the course where he start to get quite strong and I had to waste a lot of time setting him up for the fences. We finished with just a few times faults and had managed to move up the scoreboard.
On Sunday, in the show jumping, Tiko jumped his socks off for a really nice clear round to finish 25th. I was over the moon with his performance. It was a great experience for my first Championship.
